Help Sources and Contacts

In designing online Help, we have done everything we can to anticipate your questions. Before picking up the phone, be sure you :

Remember the three minute rule: if after three minutes you haven't discovered in Help how to do what you want to do, then try one of the options below.

On those occasions when the help file does not have the answer to your question, here are a few other things you can try:

  1. Search the FREP IMS Q&A database, available from the FREP IMS Training Center (http://www.for.gov.bc.ca/hfp/frep/ims/training.htm)

  2. If you have a procedural question, review the appropriate protocol. Click here to go the FREP Web site page where they are all listed. Procedural information (or a link to appropriate procedures) is also provided in many of the Help File topics, especially the Overviews.

  3. If you need a real person, contact the help desk by E-mail at APPHELP or phone at 250 387-8888. The help desk staff can also provide the names of local staff members who have experience with the system and are willing to help you.

If you do end up calling the Help desk, please tell them what you were looking for and could not find in the Help file; your feedback will help us improve that tool for you and others.
